The Kinette Club of Edmonton has been fulfilling our goal of “serving the community’s greatest need” for more than 75 years in Edmonton. We are part of Kin Canada, the largest Canadian service organization with nearly 500 clubs from coast to coast. The Edmonton Kinettes are a dynamic group of woman with a common goal – to help make our community a better place. Not only do we learn and grow personally through all our endeavours, but we also have fun and make friends while we volunteer together.

Our 5th annual National Day of KINdness is Saturday 25 February. This day always takes place during the same week that we celebrate the founding of Kin Canada – 20 February 1920.
On this day, clubs across the country spearhead activities and selfless acts within their communities to promote the need for kindness.
THIS YEAR: the Kinette Club of Edmonton, the Kinsmen Club of Edmonton, and the Kin Club of Fort Edmonton will get together to make sandwiches and snacks to hand-deliver to the homeless and needy people of central Edmonton. There will also be some individual members donating blood, buying coffees, and performing other acts of kindness around our city. #Kindness #PassItOn
Cuts for Kids Project 2016
The Cuts for Kids project is off and running! This annual project benefits the children of Norwood Elementary School in Edmonton’s inner city. Click here to see a video about the project: Cuts for Kids 2015
Monday, 5 December – the grade six children will be taken to Beaner’s Fun Cuts for Kids in Sherwood Park to get their hair done! They have a great time doing crafts and games while waiting their turns, and there are a lot of snacks too. Most of these children have never been to a salon before and they all leave with huge smiles!
Sunday, 11 December – members of the Kinette Club of Edmonton are getting together to wrap tons of presents!
Monday, 19 December – our club members go to Norwood School to hand deliver gifts and packages to every child! They get a new age-appropriate toy, new pyjamas/socks/hat/mitts, books, stuffed animal, and lots of goodies!
Stay tuned for photos!
